چکیده
Objective: To evaluate the prevalence of reduced visual acuity (VA), refractive errors (RE), contrast sensitivity and strabismus in developmentally delayed (DD) patients.
Methods: This descriptive cross sectional study was carried out Ophthalmology Departments Mayo Hospital, Lahore, The Children’s Lahore Multan from June 2019 to December 2019. We recruited 257 patients either gender, between ages 06-16 years having intelligence quotient (IQ) ≤ 80 by Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC) out-patient departments. Detailed systemic ophthalmic history taken through anterior posterior segment examination out. VA assessed with age matched charts. Cycloplegic refraction 1% cyclopentolate Contrast measured hiding Heidi Strabismus Hirschberg covers /uncover tests.
 Results: mean 8.88 standard deviation (SD) ± 2.70. VA, RE, these children were 43.58%, 52.92%, 52.14% 32.7% respectively. Out 52.92% 56 (21.79%) myopic, 66 (25.68%) hyperopic 14 (05.45%) astigmatic. percentage esotropia 72 (28.02%) exotropia 62 (24.12%).
Conclusion: results our DD have shown that a significant number sensitivity. Apart general management pediatrician, problems must be pediatric ophthalmologist improve their quality life.

[Sinusitis and ocular motility disorders].
BACKGROUND Secondary inflammatory orbital involvement due to acute or chronic sinusitis is common. The pneumatized system of the paranasal sinuses is abut to the bones of the orbit in up to 80 percent, therefore the association is a seductive theory due to their anatomic closeness. Typically, sinusitis can influence ocular motility by affecting single muscles or a combination of muscles/cranial...
متن کاملNystagmus and Related Ocular Motility Disorders
General Concepts and Clinical Approach This chapter concerns abnormal eye movements that disrupt steady fixation and thereby degrade vision. We now know a good deal about the normal anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology of ocular motor control (1). Our approach is to apply this knowledge to nystagmus and other ocular oscillations, since pathophysiology provides a sounder conceptual framework th...
متن کاملAcquired Ocular Motility Disorders and Nystagmus
Eye movement disorders may be considered in two categories: those that cause incomplete eye movements (ophthalmoparesis) and those that cause excessive eye movements (saccadic intrusions and nystagmus). Central to an understanding and correct diagnosis of abnormal eye movements is the evaluation of ocular alignment, ocular motility, and each functional class of eye movements: optokinetic, vesti...
متن کاملPrevalence of Gastric Motility Disorders in Patients with Functional Dyspepsia
Background/Aims Gastric motility abnormalities have been considered to be pathophysiological features of functional dyspepsia (FD) that are closely related to dyspepsia symptoms, especially postprandial distress syndrome (PDS). The aims of this study are to (1) investigate the prevalence of gastric motility disorders and (2) evaluate the association between gastric motility abnormalities and dy...
